On Wednesday night the Silver Bay Mariners baseball team left Barnum with an 8-7 extra inning victory. May 14, 2012 The Barnum Bombers picked up a huge section win on Monday as the Bombers defeated the Eagles of East Central in Askov on Monday afternoon by a score of 16-2 in five innings. April 26, 2012 The complete results are in for the 2012 Hawk Invite held at Hermantown High School on Thursday. The Host Hermantown boys team won with a team score of 173 points. Esko continued their dominance on the girls side, winning the event with 186 total team points.

Apr 26, 2012 The Moose Lake-Willow River Boys and Esko girls track teams captured first place in their respective divisions at the Two Harbors Invitational in Two Harbors Tuesday. The Rebels captured the title with a fairly wide margin of almost 50 points while the Eskomos edged out the Two Harbors Agates girls track team by on seven points. Read more

Apr 21, 2012 The Barnum Bombers evened their season record on Friday afternoon as the Bombers shut out the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars in a non-conference match-up at Barnum. The Bombers, playing only their second game of the season due to field issues at Barnum, shut out the Jaguars after losing their first game of the season to Duluth Denfeld. Read more

 May 19, 2012 BARNUM- The Lady Bombers of Barnum opened the section 5A playoffs on Friday afternoon with a 9-4 victory over the Ogilvie Lions with a 9-4 win at home. The Bombers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back Friday as they rolled to the five run win.

May 15, 2012 The Barnum Bombers used two big innings as they rolled to a 21-0 victory over the Cromwell Cardinals in a Polar League contest Tuesday afternoon. The Bombers evened their record at 9-9 with the victory, and improved to 5-3 in conference play. Read more

Newman Resigns As Barnum Volleyball Coach
 Apr 26, 2012 The Barnum High School has lost its third coach this spring as long time volleyball coach Corina Newman turned in her letter or resignation last Thursday, April 19th. Newman joins the list of Barnum coaches needing to be replaced before next season begins. Long time girls basketball coach Randy Myhre retired and football coach Kevin Hayley resigned earlier this spring. Read more

Apr 5, 2012 The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Softball team hosted a doubleheader at Braun Park vs. Vermilion Community College on Thursday, April 5. The Thunder swept both games, winning 5-1 in the first game and 17-10 in the second game. Read more
