CEC Girls Lead Nordic All-Conference Ski Teams With Four Athletes
Feb 15, 2012 Despite a lack of snow local high school Nordic ski teams have found a way to get out and compete, and as a result, the Lake Superior Conference has named their 2011-2012 All-Conference boys and girls Nordic teams with 10 skiers on each squad.
Lady Rails Pick Up 50-41 Conference Win
Feb 13, 2012 The Proctor Rails picked up a conference win at home Monday night over Duluth Marshall as the Rails topped the Toppers 50-41. The Rails, who have now won three of their last six games, also picked up their second Lake Superior Conference victory Monday. Read more
Strong Third Period Gets East Past Lumberjacks
Feb 6, 2012 A few weeks ago the Duluth East boys hockey team pounded Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 7-0. Last night through two periods the Lumberjacks held the Greyhounds off to the tune of a 2-2 tie, however the depth of East paid off with a strong third period and they gained a 5-2 victory over CEC at Amsoil Arena in Duluth. Eskomos Boys Lose Close Battle In Final Seconds
Jan 31, 2012 The Esko Eskomos lost as Sam Humes nailed a shot with seven seconds remaining in regulation to give the Denfeld Hunters a 55-54 win Tuesday night on the road. The Eskomos, who had trailed most of the game, went ahead late in the game on two free throws from Marc Peterson but the shot by Humes gave the Hunters the one point victory. Read more

CEC Gets 4-2 Win Over Denfeld Behind Scheuer's Stellar Goaltending
Jan 19, 2012 New rules of enforcing boarding penalties came into play in the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys hockey win over Denfeld on Thursday night. With the game tied at 1-1 midway through the third period, the Hunters were called for a boarding penalty and the Lumberjacks scored twice during the five-minute major as CEC went on for a 4-2 win. Dec 15, 2011 The Thunderbirds are a precision flying team that makes appearances around the world, they make a living by precise movement that is choreographed to the point they make it look easy. The Duluth East hockey team showed similar precision in their tic-tac-toe style passing game in beating Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 7-0 on Thursday night in Cloquet at Northwoods Credit Union Arena. Lakeview Christian Tops Carlton 67-56
Dec 12, 2011 There was a lot of excitement building in the city of Carlton on Monday afternoon as the buildup to see one of Minnesota's best players was about to happen when Lakeview Christian Academy hit the floor against the Carlton boys in high school basketball. The excitement ebbed when it was found out prior to the game that Anders Broman would not play due to the flu. Instead, his younger brother Bjorn Broman took the scoring reigns and led the Lions to a 67-56 win over the Bulldogs. Read more

Broman And LCA Too Much For South Ridge
Jan 24, 2012 A lot if written about Anders Broman of Lakeview Christian Academy and that is rightfully so as the junior scoring machine is about to obliterate scoring records in the state. After Broman scored 40 points, and his Lions beat South Ridge 96-56 on Tuesday night, the Panthers got a firsthand look at the entire LCA team which is a very solid unit. Read more
